    How it works

    JPG files are placed in the PDF exactly as they are (no re-compression), so there is no quality loss. PNG files are embedded losslessly. WebP and other formats your browser can open are converted to PNG first.

    Make the PDF smaller

    A PDF of photos is roughly as big as the photos. If you need to e-mail it, first shrink the images with the image compressor (for example to 300 KB each), then build the PDF. Check the result against e-mail limits with the attachment size checker.

    Need searchable text?

    Images in a PDF are still pictures: you cannot select or search the words. That needs OCR (text recognition), which desktop PDF editors offer.

    Is there a limit on the number of images?

    No fixed limit. Your device's memory is the limit; dozens of phone photos work fine.

    Does it keep EXIF rotation from phones?

    Modern browsers apply the photo's orientation when decoding non-JPEG files. For JPG files embedded directly, a photo saved sideways with only an EXIF flag may appear rotated; use the Rotate PDF tool afterwards.
