About Filemere

Filemere is a small collection of free tools and guides for everyday file problems: PDFs that need merging, images that are too big, videos that will not fit an upload limit, drives that seem to be missing space, and files that need to be recovered or backed up.

How the tools work

The site is static. File tools run as JavaScript in your browser, using the browser's own image and crypto engines and two open-source libraries: pdf-lib (MIT) and Mozilla's PDF.js (Apache 2.0). Your files are not sent to any server.

How facts are checked

Every service limit and product price on the site was read on the official page on the date shown next to it (currently 2026-11-05). We do not publish ratings, rankings or user reviews, and we do not claim any product is “the best”. Prices and limits change; always confirm on the official page before you buy.

Testing

Each tool is tested with sample files (PDFs, JPG/PNG/WebP images) and known calculations before publishing. If you find a bug or an outdated fact, it is a mistake we want to fix.
