    How to merge PDFs

    1. Choose or drop your PDF files. You can add more in several rounds.
    2. Use ↑ and ↓ to set the order. The top file comes first.
    3. Press Merge PDFs. The new file, merged.pdf, downloads automatically.

    What is kept, what is not

    • Kept: every page, its text, images, size and orientation. Text stays selectable.
    • Not kept: bookmarks/outline and form-field interactivity can be lost when pages are copied between files. If you need fillable forms to survive, use a desktop editor.
    • Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged until the password is removed with the program that set it.

    Limits

    Everything runs in your browser's memory. A few hundred pages is fine on a laptop; very large scans (500 MB+) can run out of memory on phones. In that case merge in smaller groups.

    Other ways to merge PDFs

    On a Mac, Preview can combine PDFs by dragging page thumbnails. For editing text inside the merged file, filling forms or OCR on scans you need a full PDF editor.

    Is it really free?

    Yes. There is no account, limit or watermark. The tool is a static web page.

    Are my files uploaded?

    No. The PDF library runs inside your browser. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

    Why is the merged file bigger than expected?

    Fonts and images that appear in several source files are stored once per source file. Use a PDF compressor in a desktop editor if size matters.
